One can apply for a restricted driver’s license from the Department of Motor Vehicles after a license suspension. This could be as a result of a DUI conviction or a DMV suspension. The Restricted driver’s license allows driving to and from work, work-related errands or alcohol school only. If you are in one of the counties with a pilot program, you will be required to install an IID in your vehicle. With the IID pilot program, you do not have restricted driving.
